Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19th February 2026

These terms apply when you use our website (peninsulalearn.com) or book language classes with us. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Peninsula Learn is operated by Noemí Louro, based in County Wexford, Ireland. You can reach us at hello@peninsulalearn.com

1. What We Offer

We provide language classes in Spanish, French, and Catalan for children, teenagers, and adults.

Classes are available:

  • Online via video call. Not limited to Ireland
  • In person at The Study Room, Bunclody, County Wexford

We offer both individual (one-to-one) and group classes. Group classes are subject to availability and minimum numbers.

2. Booking and Payment

To book a class, get in touch via our contact page or by email. A booking is confirmed once we’ve agreed a date, time, and format with you.

Individual classes are charged per hour. Group classes are charged monthly. Current prices are listed on our pricing page and we’ll let you know about any changes before they apply.

If you’re booking for someone under 18, you’re responsible for payment and attendance.

3. Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

When you book a class online, by email, or by phone, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the booking date, for any reason.

To cancel, email us at hello@peninsulalearn.com before the 14 days are up. We’ll refund your payment within 14 days using the same method you paid with.

If your class has already started during the cooling-off period and you then cancel, we’ll charge a fair amount for any sessions already taken.

This cooling-off right applies to bookings made at a distance (online, email, or phone). It does not apply to classes booked in person.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Individual classes:

  • Give us at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full

Monthly group classes:

  • Give us at least 7 days’ notice before your next billing date to cancel
  • No refunds for the current month once it’s started

If we need to cancel a class (due to illness or emergency), we’ll offer you a replacement at a time that suits you. If we can’t reschedule, you’ll get a full refund for that class.

If a group class is discontinued because numbers are too low, you’ll receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your monthly fee.

5. Refunds

Cooling-off refunds are processed within 14 days of your cancellation, as required by law.

All other refunds are processed within 14 days of approval, using the same payment method.

Refunds don’t apply to classes that have already been attended, or where you didn’t give enough notice (see Section 4).

None of the above affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.

6. Classes for Under-18s

All bookings for students under 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian.

7. Lesson Materials and Recording

All materials we provide: worksheets, presentations, digital resources, are for your personal learning use only. Please don’t share or redistribute them.

Online classes may not be recorded without our written permission.

We deliver every class to the best of our ability, but we can’t guarantee specific outcomes like exam results or fluency within a set timeframe.

If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us for the classes in question.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything that can’t legally be excluded, such as negligence or fraud.
